dominochan: (yes!)
First off, I get an email from Amazon. My Galaxy Express DVDs are in the mail.

Second, I bought a 17" laptop with a blu-ray player on neo-geo.com for under $400.00. It got shipped out yesterday.

Finally, my pre-order for my Griffon Kanako figure was filled. I still have to pay for it, but it's been released!

WOO HOO, indeed! 8D

Galaxy Express 999 AND Adieu Galaxy Express 999 are coming out on DVD June 28th, 2011.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. I'm slapping on a pre-order once I get home.

So I've been roped into watching Bleach and reading Jojo's Bizarre Adventures. I decided to give both a shot after certain influences. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. <33

Bleach is far more enjoyable than I expected. The plot is fun, I love the characters (Urahara for life, yo), it has funny and dramatic parts, and it's just plain fun. I'm only on the 30-something-ish episode, so I know I'm in for a long haul.

Jojo's is VIOLENT. The story is crack. The characters are mostly classic rock and rock references. I give it two thumbs up. And I'm only on the second arc! If the whole thing is like this... >:D

Now time for me to sign off this tiny post. Wheeee!

Question,

Can someone point me in the direction of the Tales of Symphonia OAV, preferably translated?

Thanks!

The DMC anime trailers are up. Looks like Production IG is behind this one as well.

You know what needs to come out on DVD? Galaxy Express 999.

It's easily one of my favorite animes, and I only have it on VHS. While I'm at it, the manga needs to be brought over and translated!

Why hasn't it been translated? Seriously, it's a classic story that I grew up with. One of the manga or anime companies needs to bring it back over. They bring over just about everything else, why not the GE?

On an unrelated note: IT'S RAINING AGAIN! :D

So the gang and I went out to Lowe's, Home Depot, and that evil place (AKA Wal-Mart) to look for equipment for a certain project. I can't say much about it because it's top secret, but hopefully we'll have it done in time for EVO.

Then Dash no Chris surprised me with a Vega/Balrog card that's worth $50 on Ebay, so I'll be buying a sleeve for him just to keep him as a good luck charm. He then proceeded to surprise us with the dubbed "KoF: Another Day" anime. Now I usually enjoy the dubs on the same level as the subs, but man this was bad, even for me. There was like zero emotion from the voice actors... and I don't know how many times this has annoyed me, but BILLY KANE IS NOT AUSTRALIAN! HE IS ENGLISH (no offense to my Australian buddies of course). His VA decided to go with the generic muddled accent, and he sounded horrid. It made me sad.

The actual game (KoF: Maximum Impact 2/KoF 2006) however made me have an orgasm. Billy has so many combo possibilities, and I think his beloved Vega's rubbing off on him. He's far more agile and stylish than before. Oh yes, this is the hottest Billy yet. After one total loss and a couple of rounds, I laid waste to Taiki's Ryo quite a few times. And if I lost I was giggling my butt off, so yes buy this game when it gets released stateside. I know I sure as hell am. :D

$90 and about 60+ minutes later...

I have me a Sgt. Major Kururu tattoo on the right side of my back just above my hip. The guys at Pricz are amazing, so I think I found myself a new local tattoo place.

Ku ku ku ku ku...

We've been watching the SF II: V anime again. As it gets gayer by the second, we're unable to look over the fact that while Vega and Ken fight, Bison literally gets up from his seat and leans over the rail of his seat. Then this big grin graces his face, one that screams "I like little boys and girls. Fear me".

Once I get a screencap I'll prove that he's a total pedo.

I now have a copy of the SF II: V DVD set. Thankfully, this one isn't a bootleg like the last one.

Now, I haven't watched all the episodes, just certain ones. ;) Ken and Ryu are definitely screwing around, Chun-Li is a total slash fiend (for those of you who are just tuning in, I can't stand Chun-Li. This version of her is actually tolerable, even liked by me), etc. But the real reason I watch this series?

Three words: BARELY. LEGAL. VEGA.

I'll give a full review once I watch the whole series and not just the Vega parts.

An so Halloween has passed.

It was much quieter than my past Halloweens, but I don't mind. I went to the Las Vegas Comicon this year and I have to say that I was pretty disappointed in the lack of decent costumes going around. There was one chick dressed as Kill Bill's Gogo, and that was pretty cool. Others had more of a Star Wars/Star Trek thing going for them. Oh, and there were these two really cute black guys dressed as Batman and Superman. That made me happy. Of course I already knew I was gonna have a decent time because the moment I set foot into the Mandalay Bay casino Peter Gabriel's "Big Time" was on the house music. XD

I managed to score a decent amount of booty at this con: a Vampire Hunter D poster, some Weiss Kreuz pins for mah Stefi, A signed Ruth Thompson print for my Lauren, A superhero "successories" print for the dad, and a bargain $10 SNK artbook for... me.

All in all it was a good time. Wish I had more money for some of those spiffy video game t-shirts though....
