Now the whole billiard incident's gotten me thinking. Most pool halls do tend to be seedy, but I have been to extremely upscale places. There's a joint called Gatsby's in West Palm and Boca Raton where it's friendly, the tables are well-kept, the bar is extensive, and they even had a cigar lounge. It felt expensive, but it proved there are nice pool halls out there.
The other place I love is the Slick Willie's chain in the Texas/Oklahoma area. They had full bars, food, and some of the best jukeboxes I've seen/heard. Not all the locations were in the greatest areas, but the atmosphere was worth it.
Of course it sounds lofty for me to want my own pool hall (I'll start talking big and such and yeah I start to sound like my father), so car first... then start looking for other pool places in the city.
'Cause I gotta admit, I've always wanted a place to play with an anime/gaming theme... ;D
