Yaoicon was quite a bit of fun this year. I got exposed to several new animes such as "Get Backers", "Pretear", and "Fujimi Orchestra". While the term, "screaming fangirl" is a bit overboard most of the time, it's almost canon here. I'm just happy to be in silence while the other newcomer yaoi fangirls fawn over the series. Granted, it's the new generation, but it still grates my nerves.

My panel got better attendance than in 2002, though I felt like I was bombing since there were so many silences and a few walkouts. The other fighting gamers said they wouldn't have stayed for the whole hour if it wasn't good, so I had to have been doing something right. With that I hope to make next year's fighting game yaoi panel even better... A LOT better than this year's. XD

Then came my time to fly home. While at the security check, I got pulled aside. I didn't set off the alarms since I had minimal amounts of metal on (my pants has some buckles), my backpack, coat, shoes, necklace, watch, etc. were placed in the bins, and I wasn't questioned about my belongings. After looking over my ID and boarding pass they let me go on. I figured since it's election time that airport security was heightened, but I still don't see why I was really pulled aside. Do I look like that big of a threat to national security? So I have a Union Jack patch on my bag along with various Simpsons, band, and humor pins scattered everywhere. I wear a trench coat.

Yes, I planned to hijack the plane and fly it straight to Hawaii, where I wanted to treat everyone on board to a massive impromptu vacation. Geez.

At least I didn't get seated next to anyone with a weak bladder or an asshole or a loud kid.

But I am very happy to be back home. ::cuddles all the new goodies::
