The 2008 movie season continues with my viewing of... HANCOCK.
This is the first film of the season that was... okay. It had a ton of action and hilarious scenes (a prisoner gets his head shoved up another inmate's ass to the tune of "Sanford and Son"), but overall it fell a bit short. When his origins come to light and the revelation that Jason Bateman's wife (Charlize Theron) is also a superbeing, the movie starts to take a bit of a nosedive. The origins are never really explained other than they're thousands of years old and there were once several of them. After that, the explanations are sort of swept under the rug. Only a tad more is revealed at the climax of the movie. It was very unsatisfying.
I know Will Smith is trying for the whole "Independence Day is Will Smith blockbuster weekend", and I know Hancock will rake in the bucks. But this one's a matinee flick at best.
Oh yeah, the highlight of the previews... QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Is it November, yet?

Are you still interested in a Deep Space (Sparkle Princess) Starscream and if so, how would you like him?

Starscream is $21 and if I go off what I figured for shipping
I have to warn you that he'll take a few days to ship because his packaging is an odd size (six sided and he's packaged as a robot) and I'm going to need Sgt. Backstock to find a box for me.

That sounds good. When he's ready to ship, toss me your paypal address and I'll send the cash right over (or snail mail if you prefer a different method of payment).
