And I didn't go Riot of the Blood on anyone....
Last night my friends insisted on hitting the strip for New Year's Eve. It was fun, but I had to be at work early. I got a total of 4 hours of sleep.
Today I had planned to work until 3pm at the latest. That way I could get a nap in and shower, take my time, etc. Unfortunately, my relief called in sick (despite another co-worker offering to take her place since she had worked a busy concert and stayed until 3am the night before. She declined, saying she wanted to work), so I was asked to stay until 4pm.
And then I was told that they had no one to relieve me. I ended up staying until 7PM (along with my manager pointing out that I had worked only 3 hours on Tuesday. That was an inventory day.. so why did he mention -that-? Weirdo..).
My total shift was 7am-7pm on 4 hours of sleep. My reward was another "You Rock" card and a free trucker's hat with the emblem "Paper Monsters".
Now I am going to have a nice, long sleep...
