A drabble for you guys
Because I'm too lazy to post it in my fic journal. XD
"Why did you call me here?"
"Because I want to talk."
"Because... you want to talk," Venom repeated his companion's sentence coolly. Of course, "companion" was the operative at the moment. His hidden eyes glanced down at the cup of tea before him. "While I do appreciate this gesture, I cannot help thinking that this is some sort of trap."
"You have nothing to worry about, Venom. I assure you, I asked you here of my own free will."
"And as the chief of police you must be the epitome of truth and justice. I can't argue with that."
"Now it's my turn to ask questions. If you were so wary about coming, why did you accept my invitation?" A warm, calming smile graced his lips. He reached over and placed his hand over Venom's.
The contact made Venom tense a little. "I was curious."
"Just curious?"
"Officer..." Venom responded softly.
"Venom, please call me Ky."
I tried to put a time limit on it, but my co-worker decided to talk my ear off about a week's worth of workplace drama. So I hope it isn't too choppy or fragmented. As long as you folks like it, it's all good with me. Just be sure to leave el feedback.
PS - sorry about showing up late on Friday night. I've been catching up on sleep since the move so I've treated myself to some long ass sleep times. Again, I'm sorry. I should be back on normal time by Sunday night.
